Former KIK TRACEE Bassist To Release Solo Album
February 9, 2008Former KIK TRACEE bassist Rob Grad will release his first solo album, entitled "No Apologies", in the spring. Cliff Williams of AC/DC is helping oversee the production on the CD, which is described by Grad as "a reflection of where I've been, where I am now, all I've learned, and a glimpse into where I'm headed."
Rough-mix samples from the album are available on Rob's MySpace page.
Rob was the main songwriter and bassist for KIK TRACEE, which landed a deal with RCA Records right out of high school solely based on the band's live show. It is a time he remembers fondly. "This was all our first band," he says. "We got a record deal, got to tour the world and play with huge artists like BON JOVI and JOE WALSH."
In 1998 Rob formed a studio project called SUPERFINE. SUPERFINE recorded two CDs, a seven-inch vinyl single and appeared on the 1999 soundtrack to the television show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", which has sold over 200,000 copies to date.
